Record the question and the conditions.
An answer can vary with wording, language, region and time. Keep the question set and collection conditions consistent when comparing results. A single answer is not a market-wide measure.
A name, a link and a visit are different.
A brand mention is not necessarily a cited link. A cited link is not a visit. A visit is not an enquiry or paid work. Report each separately when it can genuinely be observed.
A useful study shows its limits.
Publish the sampled systems, collection period, question set, scoring definitions and missing observations. Do not turn a small experiment into a claim about every user of an AI service.
