AI assistants

Give an assistant one clear job.

An AI assistant is most useful when its task, information and permissions are clear. It can help prepare work; it should not quietly become the person responsible for your business.

Research note

Describe the job before choosing the tool.

Drafting a reply, summarising a document and preparing a website edit are different jobs. Agree the desired output and how someone will check it. These are possible use cases, not a list of integrations available in every VURM plan.

Research note

Use only the information the task needs.

A task about a public service page does not require private enquiries or billing details. Limit access to the correct workspace and project. Keep credentials out of prompts and public reports.

Research note

Ask before a consequential action.

Publishing, spending money, changing DNS and ending a service need their own authority. The ability to generate a proposal is not permission to carry it out.

Research note

Check facts as well as fluency.

A well-written answer can still be wrong. Confirm prices, dates, certifications and other business claims against an approved source before using them.
